Pietų Prancūzija, Provanso regionas, Grinjano miestas, senas ūkis, apsuptas šimtamečių ąžuolų, alyvmedžių ir kvepiančių levandų laukų. Po 10 metų bendrovę pastebėjo Ruthų šeima ir pasiūlė bendradarbiauti. „La Lavandin de Grignan“ pradėjo sparčiai plėstis, 2005 m. ji buvo pavadinta „Durance“.
Nors šiandien „Durance“ – labai sėkmingai dirbanti tarptautinė kompanija, turinti parduotuves visame pasaulyje, jos filosofija išliko paprasta: nuolat ieškoti naujų aktyviųjų medžiagų, išgautų iš natūraliai auginamų augalų. „Durance“ yra prieš savo gaminių bandymą su gyvūnais, jų pakuotės perdirbamos, o mediena popieriui gaminti naudojama tik iš atsodinamų miškų. „Durance“ nuolat atnaujina gamybos technologijas, tvariai naudoja gamtos išteklius ir siūlo pirkėjams aukščiausios kokybės gaminius.
